Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
At First Baptist Church of Litchfield, we believe that children are a precious gift from God. Our desire is to partner with parents in laying a strong biblical foundation that helps children grow to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
We are committed to providing a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn God's Word, build lasting friendships, and come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Through engaging Bible teaching, worship, activities, and caring leaders, we seek to encourage every child to grow in faith and live for Christ.
Whether your family is just beginning your faith journey or has walked with Christ for years, we want to come alongside you, supporting and encouraging you as you raise children who know, love, and follow Jesus.

Lissette Jones
Director of Children's Ministry
Lissette grew up in central Illinois and now lives in Litchfield with her husband, Michael. With a rich background in early childhood education, she has spent years teaching children ages 1–5 and saw firsthand how deeply young hearts and minds thrive when they are taught in ways that honor their age and stage of development.
Her passion for children’s ministry has taken her beyond her hometown, traveling overseas on short-term mission trips to train children’s ministers and support teachers in church camps. These experiences strengthened her desire to help little ones grasp foundational biblical truths that will anchor them throughout life.
As a Children’s Minister, Lissette is committed to creating a Christ-centered environment where every child feels welcomed, loved, and valued—no matter their background. Her joy is seeing children encounter God’s love in meaningful, age-appropriate ways and helping families build faith that lasts.
